About the Project
Project Bhagawati is one of the core humanitarian initiatives of Tamoghna Foundation, dedicated to addressing the most basic yet critical needs of vulnerable children, families, and individuals — food and clothing. Hunger and lack of proper clothing are not just issues of discomfort; they directly affect health, dignity, mental well-being, and the ability to survive with hope. Through this project, we strive to ensure that no one is forced to sleep hungry or live without basic necessities due to poverty.
Under Project Bhagawati, Tamoghna Foundation regularly organizes food distribution drives in underserved communities, slum areas, and among homeless populations. These food drives aim to provide nutritious, hygienically prepared meals that help fight malnutrition, especially among children and elderly individuals. We focus on balanced meals that support physical health and strength, understanding that proper nutrition is the foundation of a healthy life.
In addition to food distribution, Project Bhagawati also focuses on clothing support. Many underprivileged families lack access to seasonal clothing, leaving children and adults exposed to harsh weather conditions. Through cloth donation drives, we collect, sort, and distribute clean and usable clothes to those in need. During winter and monsoon seasons, special efforts are made to provide warm clothing and protective wear to ensure safety and comfort.
Beyond material support, Project Bhagawati is built on the values of compassion, dignity, and human connection. Our volunteers actively engage with beneficiaries, treating everyone with respect and empathy. We believe that charity should never feel like charity — it should feel like support from one human being to another.
The long-term vision of Project Bhagawati is to create a hunger-free and dignified society where basic survival needs are met for all. With the support of donors, volunteers, and well-wishers, Tamoghna Foundation continues to expand the reach of this project, touching more lives and restoring hope where it is needed most.
